Mr Green buys Evoke Gaming

In recent years, Mr Green has become a major player in the gambling market. With ten years in the industry, they have taken over more and more land, and have become one of the leading companies even globally. With his milestone in the industry, Mr Green goes big and buys Evoke Gaming. That they do should not come as a shock to anyone. The purchase fits perfectly into their business plan; among other things, they have made themselves known for investing in a smaller number of relatively small players, putting a lot of effort into making these brands grow and subsequently take ever larger market shares. The market for online casinos, which has also grown at a record pace, is overflowing with both small and large players, and it is therefore natural that the larger companies buy up the smaller ones.

Mr. Green'S CEO Per Norman says in a press release that through the deal they believe they can continue to grow stronger, then Mr Green now it can appeal to a wider audience. Evoke gaming'S CEO, Fredrik Staël von Holstein, also sees the merger positively. He believes that at Mr Green you are given opportunities to become increasingly stronger globally. Staël von Holstein will continue to lead Evoke Gaming, albeit under new management.

Broadening their market

When Mr Green buys Evoke Gaming, they also get the rights to sites such as Vinnarum (or Winning Room, as the site is called in its English-language variant) and Redbet. Evoke Gaming grew significantly last year, thanks in large part to the fact that they relaunched just the two aforementioned sites. Also the sites Bertil and MamaMia can be found at Evoke Gaming.

The purely economic positive effects of the acquisition are expected to be read by 2019. From then on, it is estimated that Evoke will generate revenues of between 2.5 and 3.5 million euros per year. The deal will cost Mr Green around 7 million euros, which, according to its own statement, will not significantly affect operating profit. The purchase is expected to have a minor negative impact on cash flow this year, but as of 2019, the casino expects a positive impact on cash flow as well.

What the purchase includes

Vinnarum is a strong player in the Nordic region with many relatively loyal users. Bertil and MamaMia are casinos that have a strong base in New Zealand. Likewise, Redbet has a large customer base in New Zealand, although they also have a market in the UK. But it is mainly in the Nordic market that Mr Green gets an extra boost through the acquisition of Evoke Gaming, and in particular the New Zealand. This strategy looks like a reasonable way forward and a good investment for Mr Green, which, although a global player with operations in more than ten countries, is headquartered in Stockholm. It also seems to be Mr Green's idea to grow on two fronts – they say they want to continue developing Bertil and MamaMia in the Nordic region in the first place, while they hope to see Redbet grow to become a player of the same kind of global caliber as Mr Green himself. If that happens, only time can tell, but the future looks bright. For both Mr Green and Evoke Gaming as they now face the future together.
